On Solve CodeRED is an emergency notification system developed specifically for local public safety organizations such as law enforcement, fire rescue/EMS or other emergency organizations throughout the county. The system is capable of alerting residents and businesses through a variety of channels to include time-sensitive information, emergencies or urgent notifications. The system provides alerts through email, call, text message or app notifications, depending on the preference(s) you select when registering online or through the app.
You may be thinking, “Why do I need to download another app?” We can assure you CodeRED is essential to keep you informed and prepared for emergencies that may occur near you, wherever you go. You can receive messages containing emergency details, instructions or precautions you need to know to make well-informed decisions to keep you and your family safe.
There are many different types of alerts you can receive, including endangered missing children and criminal activity with continuous updates. Depending on the area you’re in, you could potentially receive different alerts. In fact, the system is precise enough to geotarget residents or visitors in a specific area using location-based technology through the app downloaded on your smartphone device. This way, those within the exact area of impact, and are affected by the situation are notified instantly.
