Effective July 1st, 2009 and pursuant to Section 30.231 of the Florida Statutes fees for service of process are to be paid in advance, are non-refundable, and considered earned when the request for service is made.  It is the responsibility of the party requesting service of process to furnish, to the sheriff, an original, or certified true copy, of the process and sufficient copies for the parties to be served.  Florida State Statute requires the party requesting service to provide the sheriff with the best known actual address where service may be made. Post Office boxes, rural routes, general delivery and other directions that do not provide a specific physical location are not acceptable.  Acceptable forms of payment are money order, cashier's check or local check. We do not accept out of state checks, unless from a government agency or attorney. Do not send cash.
A return stamped envelope, addressed to the originating clerk of court, and an additional stamped envelope, addressed to the party requesting service, is required to send the Original Return of Service and copy to the courts and for your records.
